In July I posted an amazing video by a videographer that I really like. It floored me. Same guy. New video. FLOORED ME. It's a little long, but it's totally worth it.

MUST READ: No Kicking Penguins

I just found this article. I found myself chuckling in that, "this is the very meaningful and has impacted my life" sort of way.

For those not wanting to read the whole story here's the long and short: A mom kicked an inflatable penguin in their hall. Her 7 year old autistic child went into his room and drew a "No Kicking Penguins" sign. His uncle put it up on his blog and it has now made it's way around the world.....including Antarctica where it is now official policy.

There is a new website NO KICKING PENGUINS.

Skating

Took the boys skating a couple weeks ago. AWESOME. Corban really just liked falling down. He was good....he could've been better if he wanted to....he just liked the idea of falling down...it seemed fun to him.

More Crayola stuff

I've mentioned before that I am a lover of Crayola. (Here and here) As we moved, I compiled the Crayola stuff I own into a giant box. I have mint condition, special edition crayons. I have a crayon maker. I have a limited edition Crayola truck with crayons in it. I don't even remember how I started collecting Crayola stuff!

So I found this the other day. A guy took the wikipedia list of Crayola colors and put it in the chart form. Pretty wild expansion of colors through the years. He figured there's an annual growth of 2.56%. The number of colors doubles every 28 years. By 2050 there should be 330 different colors. Now THAT's a big box!

God talk

I just overheard the following conversation between Corban and God. For the record I only heard Corban's part of the conversation:

"Dear God, I'm sorry for all the bad things that I do. I forgive you. Do you forgive me? Thank you. Ok I'll see ya later."

Ok so his theology of forgiving God is a little off, but we'll work that out....

Such a Dish

I really like blogs. Even though I've been bad about keeping up with my blog, I love reading other peoples blogs. I REALLY like following links that people place on their blogs. Awhile ago I was just following some links and found Pitter Patter Art. An artist and her husband were adopting from Ethiopia and to help fund it, she was doing art for people.

Marjorie fell in love with her art. She has religiously followed her blog. Even after her son came home she's still doing projects for adoptive families. A couple months ago Marjorie saw that she had done some special plates for a family. We love cool traditions. We have a special plate we use for birthdays....so Marjorie thought it would be fun to have plates for "Gotcha Day" too.

Our plates are up on her blog right now. They arrived last week. They are really cool. So a new tradition has started.
