So this past Thursday we took Tobiah to the pediatric cardiologist in Erie to get his heart checked again. Before the last time we went he had said that if he saw problems they would need to do open heart surgery (which they didn't find). But we really didn't know what to expect out of this visit.
So after it was all said and done basically the doctor said that he hasn't seen any change in his heart since he's been seeing him (a year). He still has a tiny hole in his heart. He still has an extra artery coming off his heart. But basically he felt that since he hasn't seen any change....he didn't expect any change any time soon. There is the possibility that his heart will always be like this. He does feel the need to keep an eye on it, but felt we didn't need to see him for a year.
He also said that long term, it won't slow Tobiah down (it sure isn't slowing him down now either). He said that he could play football or baseball (he didn't mention hockey).
So basically, without saying he's 100% perfect, it was probably the best report we could've got. He won't be able to be drafted into the military, should that ever happen....but can do pretty much anything he wants.
GOD IS GOOD! Ok I gotta go. Tobiah's beating up Corban.
